(Port) Wine of the month February 2018: Quinta do Noval Vintage Port Nacional 1999

Almost black, very dense colour. Intensive structure and complexity on the bouquet without being over-extracted. Cassis, cherry and milk-chocolate. The palate reveals what the nose promises: very good fruit, perfectly supported by soft tannins and balanced acidity. Long, multi-layered finish. The best Nacional from a non-declared Vintage in modern times. 19/20
